Polarization is a feature associated with the ray of the light. The when the rays vibrate at a certain specific direction then the light is said to be polarized. Normally, the sunlight is not polarized but when it strikes a certain object and then reflects from there it may be polarized. Thus, the sunlight suffers, horizontal vertical, lateral, polarized, when it hits some object. Because the rays emerging from those objects are thus polarized, when we look at that object we do experience some problems.

Therefore for avoiding these polarized rays these days goggle with polarized lenses are available in the market.

Working of the goggles with polarized lenses

The polarized lenses work as the Venetian blind control windows. They prohibit the passage of rays of light having a certain plane of polarization. For example, they prevent the problem that the reflected rays from roads while driving. The road shines due the reflection of the sunlight from the roads.

In this case, the reflection of the sunlight is in a horizontal plane due to the horizontal surface of the roads. If we use the lenses, which block the light, which is in horizontal plane of polarization, then these rays will not reach our eyes. Therefore, we can see the objects that are in front of the eyes.

The advantages of the polarized lenses:

Because of the above principal, they do not let the rays, which are in a plane, which is, not permit table for them. Therefore, this way we can avoid the extra light that is not necessary and creating problems.

Therefore, they are useful for the drivers while driving their vehicle, and then they are useful for the anglers during the catching of the fish. In this case, it will block the rays from the waters surface and therefore will enable the anglers, to view the objects better, in the water.

However, when the user bends in more than 45 degrees angle then some of the light in that plane may enter the eye and it may cause bright spots in front of the eye of the user. This creates some problems as for the like it is difficult to distinguish between the snow and the shadow while we are going through snow. Moreover, people find some problems like distortions while viewing the LCD screens.

In addition to this, we cannot wear them permanently as the spectacles. We cannot add this feature to the contact lenses.
