Facial Tanners

The facial tanner as the name suggests is used to provide tan only to the face. The facial tanner is a small, less expensive sunlamp with 700 watts of warm tanning power. It is affordable, compact and easy to use. It may have a 10-minute auto shut off timer. After this pre-selected exposure time the electric timer shuts off the unit on its own. The bulb may last for approximately 250-300 hours. This amounts to 1650 ten-minute tanning sessions. The apparatus has protective eyewear and instructions and warranty included with it. There is an adjustable head on a sturdy base. The reflector gives an attractive and even tan. Some facial sunlamps have a tubular steel tripod stand that allow for adjustments in three ways – height, lamp head angle and a tripod angle.

Using the instrument

While using the facial tanner place it on a level and plug it in. From the table which can be read from the instruction manual, guage the correct duration of the tanning session. Use the protective eye goggles. Fix the time for which the timer has to be set. After this time has elapsed, the instrument will automatically shut off. Place the face in front of the appliance, nearly 4 inches from the bulb. Rotate your face after specific time intervals to get an even and gorgeous tan. When the apparatus is not in use, unplug it. It should not be used while bathing. The instrument should not be placed in such a way so that it can fall in a tub or sink. Still by accident if the appliance falls in the water by mistake, do not touch the water. First the instrument has to be unplugged and then removed from the water.

This instrument is very ideal for tanning only the face of the body. For those who do not desire the entire body for fear of skin cancer, this apparatus comes in as a huge relief. Also the need to visit the tanning salon is eliminated. One can buy this appliance at moderate rates and use it as and when required. Also during its use the cost of maintenance is not very high.
