Makeup and clothing is an issue for many teenage girls and most of them end up looking stressed about what they should look like as a newcomer in middle school, or one in high school. There are a number of dedicated online and offline stores that guide and help teens to ‘fashion mature’.

Teen beauty tips include the wearing of lip gloss, mascara and maybe a little bit of pale eye-shadow. However, you should be careful not to go too heavy or it may look bad. If at all you do want to try out more types of makeup, keep that for home experiments. In the way of clothes, always keep it within the comfort level zone. If you are wearing a bra or an undershirt or camisole, don’t let the straps hang out. It doesn’t look good, just plain sloppy. If you are wearing a short shirt you should check in the mirror to see if your stomach bulges. If it does, wear something a little bit longer. Also, if your trousers slip, sport a belt.

The main thing is to keep the makeup light and the clothes clean cut. You might want to try curling your hair a few days of the week and try different hairstyles other than your regular.

If you are acne prone, try a good foundation. However, keep in mind that even oily skin can get flaky and looks horrible with foundation. So, you should try it on weekends first and enquire if it looks okay.

Start trying to put outfits together with accessories. It is good to try new things and experiment with your makeup and clothes. But when you do so, ensure that it looks good on you and not just on the rack at the store. Check out different stores and a style that suits you best.

Try establishing your own hairstyle without copying everyone else. For example, if everyone seems to be sporting long, layered hair with no bangs, try the light wispy bang look or a shorter, layered look.

You might want to try out more mature styles such as leather blazers, or lower cut necklines too.
