Aspheric Diagnostic Lenses

There are many types of aspheric diagnostic Lenses in the market which are available today. We will consider them one by one. They are also used for the purpose of diagnosis the difference is that they are aspheric in nature.

These lenses are highly polished and so are used only when high performance is required in a particular situation. The specialty of these lenses is that they have large diameter for the purpose of optimum collection of light and focusing the same. One more feature of this lens is that the surface roughness which is possessed by them is more as compared to the molded lenses which are available in the market. The material form which these lenses are made is low dispersion in nature and so color aberrations are minimized to a greater extent. This will help doctors in many ways since they will be able to see the changes in color accurately and will make accurate diagnosis.

The design of this lens is such that it enables the lens to distribute Energy beam which is supplied to it in a superior way. This minimizes the errors. One more specialty is the about the Wave front transmission is that it is corrected automatically in these aspheric lens this is the advantage of these lens over Molded lenses.

Molded Glass Unmounted Lenses:

This Lens can collimate the incoming light with a single element. This remarkable ability of this lens has made it possible to use it in instruments which utilizes laser light. It is possible due to these unmounted lenses to replace the system of Multiple Element Microscopic objectives. The speciality of these lens is that it is coated with AR material. The diffraction which is caused by these lenses is less.

Now we are going to consider the Mounted Aspheric Glass:

As the name suggests these lenses are mounted type molded lenses. The features of these lenses are as follows:

The NA of these lens is higher it is in the range of 0.15 to 0.68. So it is obvious that the range various remarkably. These lenses can also collimate on a single element. They are similar to the unmounted lenses but they have one difference that is it is mounted on Stainless steel Cells.

These are the major types of aspheric diagnostic lens.
